Dance Your Way to Dancing Goats on Ponce!

The new Dancing Goats Coffee location in Ponce City Market is now open!

After a long wait, the much-anticipated first tenant at Ponce City Market has opened its doors Saturday morning. Though the big "grand opening" will be Friday, the new Dancing Goats location in Ponce City Market is now open!

As many of you know, the old Sears building that served as City Hall East was purchased by Jamestown Properties and Green Street Properties and is being re-imagined as a retail, dinning, office and residential space.

Dancing Goats Coffee (@PonceCityGoats) has become the first to occupy retail space at the corner of Glen Iris Drive and North Avenue. Their other location in Decatur has been a neighborhood staple since 2007 with a loyal following and the new Ponce City Market location is sure to continue that tradition.

The atmosphere is very urban chic and will most definitely be even more amazing once the rocking chairs and day beds show up for their screened-in porch!

They serve (and are owned and operated by) Batdorf and Bronson coffee, which is GREAT coffee by people that really care about the coffee, where it comes from, how it is roasted, and how it is served. These guys are up there with Counter Culture Coffee and Intelligentsia. They have a local roasting facility here in Atlanta and will even have an Old Fourth Ward Blend at the Ponce City Market location. You can read all about the company, their coffee and their ethical standards on their website: http://www.batdorfcoffee.com/

Soon, Jay Swift, from 4th and Swift, will provide sandwiches and salads and they will continue to expand their baked good selections. Until then, you can enjoy delicious coffee and teas in this great new neighborhood spot!

As an added benefit, while at Dancing Goats you can look at a scaled model of what the Ponce City Market building will look like when it is finished.

Welcome to the neighborhood guys!
