Piola restaurant connects Midtown Atlanta with an international chain of Italian food and culture. The restaurant began in Italy and quickly developed multiple branches in Brazil, whose traditional pizza is similar to Italy's. Now Piola also thrives in Argentina, Mexico, Turkey, Honduras and Atlanta, which is one of 10 U.S. locations. Executive manager and head chef, Grabriele  Besozzi, is Italian and came to the U.S. in 2006 to work in various Piola restaurants. Gabriele maintains in Piola what he calls Italian style service -- informal, fast, clean and friendly. The eatery also exhibits a new artist's work every 4 months, usually a local artist, who can sell his artwork to Piola customers for no extra charge. Special offers include Happy Hour, Ladies' Night, Brazilian Day, lunch specials and Gnocchi day.
