Channel 2 Action News, as it is called, was the first television news operation in the South. WSB-TV sprung from WSB Radio when the the radio station was granted a license to operate a television station in 1948. The station supplies viewers with local and national news, weather updates, traffic information and entertainment. Tours of the news station are offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings for individuals or groups up to 45 people. Tour reservations can be made on the WSB-TV website.
