The Intown Academy is a public charter school for children in the Atlanta Public Schools District. TheMore community-based school offers instruction for children in kindergarten through eighth grade and is tuition-free.

The school offers English, math, science, social studies, music, art and French instruction in addition to offering programs for children with special needs and ESL programs.

Henry W. Grady High School

Named for the former editor of The Atlanta Constitution, Henry W. Grady High School is a part of Atlanta PublicMore Schools. Atlanta architect Philip Shutze designed the building, which was constructed in 1924. The school was for boys only until it merged with two other schools in 1947. Grady was one of the first high schools in Georgia to allow African-American students in the early 1960s. The school is home to Atlanta Public Schools' Communication Magnet, a Health Science academy, a Fine Arts academy and a Travel and Tourism academy. There are four small learning communities at Grady: Biomedical Science and Engineering, Business and Entrepreneurship, Communication and Journalism and Public Policy and Justice. Grady High School is a member of the Georgia High School Association.

Centennial Place is a public elementary school in the Atlanta Public Schools system that serves grades kindergartenMore through fifth. The school sits on Luckie Street amidst a backdrop of Atlanta skyscrapers. The Arthur M. Blank Youth YMCA is located next door to the elementary school. A gated playground is shared between the school and the YMCA. Students at Centennial Place wear uniforms. An APS spokeswoman said Centennial Place benefits from strong partnerships with the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as The Coca-Cola Company. Fort Street Memorial Church stands proudly on Atlanta's Boulevard Street. For at least 40 years Fort Street UnitedMore Methodist has been helping the community grow and stay strong. There are a number of ministries for hosting youth after school activities, feeding the homeless and more. Worship services are open to the public.
