The Georgia Tech football team laid an egg at rival Georgia over the weekend, but the Yellow Jackets’ hoops squad will have the opportunity to even the score for the school next week when Tech plays host to the Bulldogs at the brand new McCamish Pavilion. Winners of just 11 games a year ago, the Jackets are almost halfway to their 2011-12 win total following Sunday’s 65-56 win over Saint Mary's (Cal) in the third place game of the DirecTV Classic in Anaheim, Calif. Tech is now 4-1 entering Wednesday’s game at Illinois in a 9 p.m. contest that will be televised on ESPN2.
