Police: Man in pick-up truck tried to snatch a 7-year-old girl.

The Atlanta Police Department issued the following alert: On Aug. 22 at about 7:45 p.m., a black male driving a black pick-up truck attempted to kidnap a 7 year-old girl from the corner of Parkway Drive NE and Angier Avenue NE. The victim and two of her friends, ages 9 and 12, were walking on Parkway when a man in a black pick-up truck slowed down and asked the girls where they were going. The girls ignored the man and continued walking, and the man exited his truck, grabbed the 7 year-old girl, covered her mouth so that she couldn’t scream and began dragging her toward his truck. The other two girls grabbed the victim and attempted to pull her away from the suspect, who then released the girl and fled the scene in his vehicle. The girls …

Atlanta police are seeking two burglars who were prevented from making off with approximately $10,000 worth of Patron, Hennessy, and Ciroc Vodka Thursday morning from the westside’s Bim’s Package Store. Officer responding to an audible alarm observed two unidentified black males loading a Ford Expedition with approximately 24 cases of liquor from the 1015 W. Marietta St. store. The burglars used a sledgehammer to break into the side of the building, which appeared to be an approximately two-foot thick brick wall. According to police, one of the suspects fled by jumping down a 10-foot wall down to the railroad tracks that run east and west behind the business.
