Longtime Atlanta news anchor charged with DUI after wrong way crash in Midtown

FOX 5 News anchor Amanda Davis faces multiple charges including DUI following a wrong way, head-on crash early Sunday morning on Piedmont Avenue in Midtown. According to an Atlanta police report, Davis allegedly was driving her vehicle north in the southbound lanes of Piedmont before hitting another car just before 12:30 a.m. The accident occurred near the intersection of Piedmont and 14th Street. Neither driver was injured in the accident that resulted in significant damage to both cars. According to Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee, Davis admitted to consuming alcohol but refused to submit to the "Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and refused to submit to the State Administered Chemical Test/s."
