Pandora to Expand Local Presence at Atlantic Station

Music streaming company leasing space in tower at 271 17th St.

Pandora, the music streaming company, is expanding its metro Atlanta presence and relocating from Colony Square to Atlantic Station, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The company is leasing 3,000 square feet of space at 271 17th St, the Business Chronicle report stated. A Pandora spokeswoman declined to comment to Midtown Patch, but another spokeswoman told the Business Chronicle the company chose Atlantic Station because of its location to various amenties from transit to dining. In relocating, Pandora is joining Square, the mobile payments company, which also has a big Atlanta presence and leased space in Atlantic Station.

13th Atlanta Jewish Film Festival begins Wednesday

Midtown's Atlantic Station will participate in the AJFF Feb. 7-10, as Meehan’s Public House will host a Gen-Y Night that will kick off the 18 films and one shorts program to be screened at Regal Atlantic Station Stadium 16 during the weekend.

The 13th Atlanta Jewish Film Festival (AJFF) kicks off Wednesday Jan. 30 and will extend 22 days through Feb. 20 as a cinematic exploration of Jewish life, culture and history. Opening Night will be hosted at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, and the AJFF will also include screenings at Midtown's Regal Atlantic Station Stadium 16, Lefont Sandy Springs, Georgia Theatre Company Merchants Walk, United Artists Tara Cinema 4, and Regal Cinemas North Point Market 8. HAVA NAGILA (THE MOVIE) will be featured as the Opening Night event on Wednesday. Atlantic Station Tree Lighting Celebration Saturday

Atlantic Station will light up with more than 250,000 lights

Come kick off the holiday season at Atlantic Station’s annual tree lighting celebration on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 from noon to 8 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature musical entertainment from Jordan Grassi, the Georgia Tech Glee Club, former The Voice contestant Clark King and more.  Parents and kids can enjoy the kids’ activity area featuring the Georgia Aquarium, live reindeer and the Seed N’ Feed Parade. Atlanta loves Cirque du Solei and the feeling is mutual

Totem, which opened at Midtown's Atlantic Station over the weekend, marks the 10th Cirque du Soleil big top touring show to visit Atlanta since 1991.

Cirque du Soleil has returned to Atlanta with its touring production Totem, which premiered this past Friday to begin a two-month engagement under the blue-and-yellow big top at Atlantic Station. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution spoke recently with the show’s artistic director Tim Smith about what patrons might expect to see and experience at Totem. The show, which is scheduled to be performed locally through Dec.30, features a cast the is comprised of 52 performing artists from 17 countries speaking 11 different languages. Performance schedule is as follows: Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 8 p.m.; Thursdays through Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Sundays at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. No performances on Mondays.
