Update: Suspect identified in Midtown carjacking of popular R&B singer

Update: Jan. 24, 2013 11:20 a.m. Atlanta police have released the name of the suspect arrested in connection with Tuesday night’s carjacking. Robert Unrico McFarland, 18, faces several charges including armed robbery, aggravated assault and hijacking a motor vehicle. Investigators are seeking assistance in identifying the second suspect in this case and are asking anyone with information on this robbery to call Zone 5 investigators at (404) 658-6636 or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
