In October, Carter’s, Inc., the country’s largest branded marketer of apparel exclusively for babies and young children, announced plans to consolidate its retail store and financial operations currently managed in its Shelton, Conn., facility with the company’s Midtown-based operations. Carter’s, Inc., which is located at 1170 Peachtree Street in The Proscenium building, makes OshKosh B’gosh branded apparel. In making the October announcement, the company said it was evaluating its long-term space needs in the Atlanta area as approximately 200 new jobs were expected to be created in Atlanta principally in the areas of retail merchandising and store operations, finance, and information technology.
