Pocket Park Coming to Peachtree & 10th

Construction is currently underway to help better activate and preserve the prominent Midtown Atlanta corner.

A highly visible corner of Midtown where residents have been waiting years for development is currently receiving such, but it's most likely not what the critical masses have been clamoring for. Others though might be thrilled with the news that Midtown will soon be home to another park complete with a new sustainable garden Midtown Alliance has partnered with Dewberry Capital Corporation to create a unique, new green space at the northeast corner of Peachtree and 10th streets next to the former Jocks & Jills Sports Grill space that for a short time in the Fall was home to a boutique grocery shop. John Dewberry among Three Involved in Small Jet Crash

Atlanta developer reportedly uninjured during Tuesday morning accident that resulted in the company jet hydroplaning off the runway and crashing in a wooded area.

John Dewberry, president and CEO of Midtown-based Dewberry Capital Corporation, was a passenger on a Beech 400 jet that hydroplaned and crashed in a wooded area while landing at Macon Downtown Airport Tuesday morning. The Telegraph reported the Dewberry Capital-owned jet took off in Charleston, S.C. and was attempting to land shortly after 10 a.m. when it slid on the runway, crossed an embankment and road before crashing about 30 yards away. Trapped pilot Brian Landers of Atlanta had to be cut out of the plane by rescue personnel, while the co-pilot Joel Perkins, also of Atlanta, sustained minor injuries.
