Rolling Stone Ranks Fox Theatre Among 'Venues That Rock'

The Fox came in at number 11.

The Fox Theater has been named by Rolling Stone magazine among "Venues that Rock," coming in at number 11 of 20. The article notes: Over time (and several preservation efforts), it evolved into a crucial stop for southern rock and beyond – Elvis Presley played here in 1956, Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1976, Adele in 2011. Do you agree with Rolling Stone that the Fox rocks? What's the best performance you've ever seen there? Tell us in the comment section below.

Love those mid-night concerts back in the 70's. It does not just have to be for Sourthern Rock: The Kink's probably put on one of the greatest shows I have ever seen at the Fox. Also Frank Zappa and David Bowie. Gimme Three Steps anythime, though.   more ›
