Georgia Tech names Bobinski as school's new AD
Xavier University’s Mike Bobinski, the current chair of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee, will be just the eighth athletic director in school history when he begins the job in April.
In a press release Wednesday afternoon, Georgia Tech President G.P. “Bud” Peterson announced that Xavier University’s Mike Bobinski will be the school's new athletic director. Bobinski will be introduced on Friday at a 10 a.m. press conference at the Midtown school. Bobinski is the current chair of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee and will officially begin his duties at Tech on April 1. He replaces Dan Radakovich, who resigned in November to become the athletic director at Clemson University. Bobinski was in his 12th year as director of athletics at Xavier in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he also served as associate vice president.
