Grady High Holds Rising 9th Grader Tours for Students and Family

Families with students entering the 9th grade at Grady High School, are encouraged to come to one of 3 tours, starting April 20th.

All parents and families in the various Midtown neighborhoods with rising 9th graders attending Grady High School next school year, are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming Grady High spring campus tours.  The tours will help students become a little more familiarized with the campus, so that on the first day of classes, everything will not seem too confusing and disorienting. According to the Grady High website, "the tours begin in the cafeteria and include an overview of Grady and a comprehensive tour of the campus led by Grady teachers and students."  The tours last about an hour.  The dates are: To make a reservation for a tour, please send an email to gradynextstep@gmail.com or call 404-802-3049 between the hours of 10am-3:45pm. …

Students at Grady High are encouraged to excel in academics, the arts, sports, and in citizenship. They are proud of their school and work hard every day with the faculty and staff to maintain and grow the reputation of their school. Parents urged to attend Thursday's Grady State-of-the-Cluster meeting

Atlanta Public Schools’ Superintendent Erroll B. Davis is expected to attend and discuss middle school capacity issues.

At the start of the school year, Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Erroll B. Davis Jr. delivered a state-of-the-district address that outlined the challenges and work the system faced. Now, school principals will hold their own forums to provide an update on the state of the schools in each cluster. APS leaders in the East cluster will discuss the academic offerings in the schools and answer questions at a Feb. 7 meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Grady High School. One of the hot topics among parents in East Atlanta Patch, is the status of a sixth grade academy to relieve overcrowding at Inman Middle School.
