Spring opening for former Hotel Midtown as Hyatt Atlanta Midtown

Originally built in 1986, the building’s exterior façade is losing its red brick, triangular bay windows, and green metal roof in favor of a more modern look of concrete composite and glass panels.

Our Midtown Patch Picture of the Day is of the former Hotel Midtown that Noble Investment Group is currently spending $20 million-plus in renovating and rebranding from an independent hotel to a full-service Hyatt. Hotel Midtown, located at 125 10th Street between Peachtree and Juniper streets, had been struggling with occupancy rates and the massive renovation is hoped to give a boost to the hotel originally constructed in the mid 80s. The 194-room Hyatt Atlanta Midtown is set to open in April and will become Hyatt Hotels Corp.’s first hotel in Midtown and Atlanta-based Noble Investment’s third.
