The long-awaited Eastside Trail is expected to be complete sometime this fall. Celebrate the trail with the annual lantern parade set for Sept. 8. See the video of last year's parade featuring the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons. This year’s Lantern Parade will kick-off with a tailgate party at the intersection of the Eastside Trail and Lake Avenue / Irwin Street at 7:30 p.m. The parade route map can be found here. The parade will step-off at 8:30 as the dusk settles in. It will wind along the Eastside Trail and spill into Park Tavern and Piedmont Park for a celebration.
