Westside resident Megan Hayes scores plum role in 'Hunger Games' film currently being shot around town
If you even remotely follow Atlanta entertainment news, then you know that since last month, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" has been filming in the Atlanta area. The first of the wildly popular Hunger Games trilogy of books was released in 2008 and has since been translated in 26 languages. The film “The Hunger Games” was released earlier this year and enjoyed massive worldwide box-office success. “Catching Fire” is the second in the trilogy that follows the story of a young girl’s quest for survival in a post-apocalyptic world. Midtown, Buckhead, the westside’s Goat Farm, the Georgia Dome, Atlanta Motor Speedway are just a few of the “Catching Fire” locations where filming has taken place.
