Tuesday Morning Armed Pedestrian Robbery Near 14th Street
The suspects brandished handguns, and stole one of the victim's car keys, cell phone and purse.
Two women and an infant were robbed at gunpoint while sitting in their car in Midtown early Tuesday morning. According to Atlanta Police Officer Carlos Campos, the victims were sitting in a Mercedes that was “having some sort of mechanical problems” near the intersection of Holly and 14th streets when two male suspects approached the vehicle. Both suspects brandished guns and took one of the victim’s purse, cell phone and car keys before fleeing on foot south on Holly before continuing east on 14th. Police officers combed the area in search of the suspects, but were unsuccessful in locating them. The stolen cellphone did not have any tracking capabilities according to Campos.
