Scoutmob Teams Up with Foursquare

West Midtown mobile deal company to expand user base with partnership.

Scoutmob, the popular mobile deal company headquartered in West Midtown, announced this week it will integrate with mobile app Foursquare. "Behold: a match made in mobile app heaven," Scoutmob said Tuesday on its blog. The partnership will increase Scoutmob's user base by offering its mobile deals -- often offering 50-percent discounts at local restaurants and shops -- in 13 U.S. cities within Foursquare. Foursquare, a location-based mobile platform that aims to make exploring cities more interesting, has a community of more than 10 million users, according to the company. Scoutmob says currently it has more than 800,000 users. "The Foursquare-Scoutmob partnership is long overdue" Urvaksh Karkaria with the Atlanta Business Chronicle said …

I think Groupon would be great...if it wasn't for Scout Mob. Paying for coupons used to be the thing to do. Great deals. However, now with the advent of Scout Mob, I think paying for coupons seems sooooo 2008.   more ›
