Fast Casual Restaurant Newk’s Eatery Coming to Midtown

Restaurant targeting a spring opening in the former Yes Home space at the Shops at Metropolis.

Newk’s Eatery is coming to Midtown as the Jackson, Miss.-based casual eatery plans to open in the shuttered Yes Home space at the Shops at Metropolis (SAM). A late spring opening date is targeted at 921 Peachtree Street. Real estate firm Jamestown made the announcement Monday via a press release. A neighbor to the recently opened La Tagliatella at Peachtree and 8th streets, Newk’s Eatery is a fast casual concept pioneered by the founders of McAlister’s Deli, a quick service restaurant specializing in hand-crafted sandwiches, spuds and other made-to-order menu items. La Tagliatella readies to open first U.S. restaurant on Midtown Mile

European concept opens first location in Atlanta this fall in the former Silk space at the Shops at Metropolis

A drive along the Midtown Mile on a gorgeous autumn day reveals continued work on what will soon be one of the area’s newest restaurants. Not only that, but La Tagliatella, a European-based Italian restaurant concept with more than 130 locations across Spain and France, will begin its first U.S. expansion plan with the opening of the flagship store in Midtown.
