Volunteers Needed for Community Service Project at Grady High School

Organizers are looking for 700 volunteers, according to Starbucks.

Starbucks Coffee Company, Kids & Pros and Grady High School will have a community service event at the high school, 929 Charles Allen Drive NE, on April 27, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., according to Starbucks' community web page. The organizers would like to have 700 volunteers to clean up, paint, landscaping and more. Length of commitment for volunteers is four hours. Register online and get more information.

Patch, Starbucks Team to Avert Fiscal Cliff

The two companies have joined forces to urge Congress to “Come Together” before tax hikes and spending cuts push America over the “fiscal cliff.”

On any given day, Midtown and Washington, D.C., might seem like they’re a million miles apart. Today is not one of those days. As Congress and President Barack Obama attempt to hash out differences to stop America from falling over the “Fiscal Cliff,” Patch and Starbucks are teaming up to urge Republicans and Democrats to “come together.” The two companies are working together to make sure Congress gets the message America wants a viable solution to the country’s financial woes. Will You Pay More for Starbucks Coffee?

Prices set to rise at Midtown locations ... but will you remain dedicated to the Seattle java giant?

Hey loyal Starbucks customer, ready to fork out more for that “tall” latte? Well, ready or not, be prepared to do so as the Seattle coffee chain announced this week that select areas of the county, including metro Atlanta, will see menu prices increase by about one percent overall. The world's biggest coffee chain indicated that its pricing decisions are based on many factors, not just the price of java. Midtown has several Starbucks, including locations at Ansley Mall, on 14th Street, on Peachtree Street and in the Midtown Promenade shopping center. So what’s your take on this?
