Volunteers Needed for Community Service Project at Grady High School

Organizers are looking for 700 volunteers, according to Starbucks.

Starbucks Coffee Company, Kids & Pros and Grady High School will have a community service event at the high school, 929 Charles Allen Drive NE, on April 27, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., according to Starbucks' community web page. The organizers would like to have 700 volunteers to clean up, paint, landscaping and more. Length of commitment for volunteers is four hours. Register online and get more information.

Hey loyal Starbucks customer, ready to fork out more for that “tall” latte? Well, ready or not, be prepared to do so as the Seattle coffee chain announced this week that select areas of the county, including metro Atlanta, will see menu prices increase by about one percent overall. The world's biggest coffee chain indicated that its pricing decisions are based on many factors, not just the price of java.
