'Tinsel and Twine' contest winner feeling the holiday joy

Saturday's holiday pop-up event on the westside promises to wrap the season in holiday good cheer.

Midtown resident Marnye Hall was the lucky winner of a $50 Westside Provisions District (WSPD) gift certificate that Midtown Patch helped give away in conjunction with the annual 'Tinsel and Twine' event at WSPD. Hall’s name was randomly selected among all those who entered the Patch/WSPD contest and the Midtown resident of about six years expressed her love of the holidays. “I think my favorite Christmas memories surround decorating the Christmas tree when I was a child,” she said. “My grandparents would always join us for the decorating after my dad spent a few hours getting the lights just perfect. Westside Provisions District's 'Tinsel and Twine' partners with ACFB

Festive pop-up event featuring photos with Santa, a holiday stocking bar and old-fashioned candy counter also gives shoppers a way to give while they receive.

Returning for a second season, Westside Provision District’s (WSPD) holiday pop-up event, "Tinsel and Twine," promises to wrap the season in holiday cheer this December 8th and 15th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shoppers can get into the spirit of the season and help WSPD reach its goal of 10,000 donations by bringing non-perishable food items to the District and dropping them at any of the easy-to-find donation barrels located at: The Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) is a nonprofit organization that strives to supply a variety of well-balanced, nutritious foods to families and individuals in need.
