One dead, one critically injured in overnight shooting off North Ave
Atlanta police were responding to a 911 call concerning illegal gambling just south of Midtown when “at least 20 shots were fired” during the incident in which two men in their 20s were hit.
One man is dead and another is in critical condition following a barrage of bullets at a strip center near the intersection of North Avenue and Boulevard late Monday evening. According to Atlanta Police Officer Kim Jones, shortly after 10 p.m. police officers were responding to a 911 call concerning illegal gambling at the North Plaza strip center just south of Midtown in the Old Fourth Ward when shots were fired. Jones said that when officers arrived on the scene, a black male ran to the officers with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to Grady Memorial hospital where he is listed in critical condition. No, while I agree with vouchers in theory, in practice the vouchers RUINED a lot of decent neighborhoods. See, when projects existed, a city's Local Housing Authority owned some tenements and rented them to the poor. But someone got the good idea that this is discriminatory.
