Wait a minute, I just realized, this is being held on the PROMENADE! That area fits about 10 people. 2007 was on Oak Hill. That's not big enough to fit picnic blankets and coolers and such. Needless to say, Midtown has grown tremendously since 2007. What the heck, planners, what are you doing? How is this GENERAL PUBLIC when it's tucked away in the tiny bowels of the park? How many tickets are …   more ›

Better this than raising our taxes. Good fro the Conservancy finds ways for funding outside of taxes. I do agree we do not need tacky advertising in the park, so far I have not seen it happening. Thanks!   more ›

Patch Pic of the Day

Last Summer Swim Is For The Dogs

Some doggone good fun with our pictures of the day

Our Midtown Patch Pictures of the Day come compliments of photograher David Whitefield from last weekend’s Splish Splash Doggie Bash at the Piedmont Park Aquatic Center pool. The dogs-only swim closed out another summer of water fun while also raising money for the Piedmont Park Conservancy (PPC). How cute is that featured picture?! Want to help PPC? Well, it’s one of 20 organizations selected to participate in the Atlanta Track Club’s Adopt A Marathon Mile Program. The event is being held on Sunday, Oct. 28 and PPC needs 100 volunteers to assist at its official cheer and watering station. The more volunteers PPC has, the more money it receives. For more information on how you can help, contact Eli Dickerson at edickerson@piedmontpark.org.
