Fadó Irish Pub May Open on the Westside

The popular bar and restaurant based in Buckhead may open another Atlanta outpost.

  Fadó Irish Pub could be opening a second Atlanta location in West Midtown's Elan Westside Apartments project, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The apartment project, under construction at the intersection of Howell Mill and 14th Street, began construction last fall and is slated to deliver 197 apartments and 11,000 square feet of retail space by fall. The Business Chronicle quoted a developer of the retail portion of the development as saying Fadó is “one of the folks we are talking to.” Fadó is a chain with locations in about a dozen cities, but the original was in Buckhead at the corner of Peachtree Road and Buckhead Avenue. Another mixed-use proposed for the westside

Perennial Properties proposed development would include 230 apartments and 9,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space wrapped around a multilevel parking deck.

A newly proposed mixed-use development targeting Atlanta’s westside would include 230 apartments and 9,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space wrapped around a multilevel parking deck. Perennial Properties wants to rezone 2.965 acres of property bounded by 9th Street, 8th Street, Brady Avenue and Howell Mill Road near where The Optimist restaurant currently sits and hopefully deliver the project by fall of 2014. The proposed rezoning from I-1 and I-2 to MRC-3 for 930 Howell Mill is to enable the site to allow multifamily units to be constructed on the property, along with the retail and restaurant in the existing building to remain. Kayce Hughes to open in Westside Provisions District

Westside shopping destination welcomes Tennessee native Kayce Hughes and her mix of clothing, vintage accessories and home goods.

The westside mixed-use development Westside Provisions District is preparing to welcome retailer Kayce Hughes to its tenant family this winter. The vintage-inspired clothing store announced in a press release Monday that it will occupy 1,751 square feet of retail space in the development located off Howell Mill Road. It is expected the retailer will occupy a space in the same building that is home to the White Provision Residences. Kayce Hughes will offer a timeless mix of clothing, vintage accessories and home goods.
