Lauren Schmidt Downs, Neighbor

Hello from Midtown!  I've lived here for the past four years and am proud to call this lively, vibrant neighborhood my home.  I'll be sharing my slice of the American dream with you, with the latest news and musings from my corner of Atlanta.  

I'll document my adventures as I travel through the wild worlds of parenthood, corporate America, and the urban jungle in an often futile attempt to keep it all together and squeeze every last drop from each day I've been given.

When I have a few spare minutes and I'm not using it to catch up on sleep, you can usually find me in the kitchen cooking something from scratch or watching reruns of Law and Order.  People watching is my favorite hobby of all time, and Midtown provides plenty of interesting folks to look at. 

I am an advocate for expanded public transportation and infrastructure development, I believe we should all think a little more about the golden rule, and one day I hope to make it to the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions.
