December opening for 10th & Piedmont in former Outwrite space

New Midtown restaurant and lounge will specialize in shareable cuisine and late night entertainment

On the heels of this week's news that a new gay-friendly restaurant and bar, "10," will soon be moving into the former Five Napkin Burger space at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street, the owners of the restaurant and lounge set to open across the street in former Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse space said their doors will be open by December.

Restaurateurs and brothers Sean and Gilbert Yeremyan, owners of Gilbert’s Café & Bar that is next door to the 2,500 square-foot Outwrite space, are excited about the opening of "10th & Piedmont" in a few of months.

“We want to create a place that will complete your night,” said Sean Yeremyan. “10th & Piedmont was designed to appeal to our neighbors who want to enjoy dinner with a group, late night drinks, or something in between.”

Guests will be able to enter the restaurant and lounge from inside the adjacent restaurant, Gilbert’s Café & Bar, or use the entrance located at the Piedmont intersection.

Serving seasonally inspired dishes, creatively portioned into small bites for easy sharing, 10th & Piedmont’s Executive Chef Brett Ring will use multi-cultural flavors and organic ingredients to execute global cuisine with a regional, Southern influence.

The community-focused restaurant will serve lunch and dinner daily, as well as weekend brunch. Late night will bring an additional opportunity for guests to enjoy the vodka bar, extensive wine selection, cozy lounge seating and DJ entertainment.

The teams of Goodrowe ǀ Hobby, EarthStation Architecture and Structor Group are designing the space. The Yeremyan brothers also own and operate HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern across from Ansley Mall.

10th & Piedmont will be located at 991 Piedmont Ave., while across the street, "10" will be at 990 Piedmont Ave.
