The Trey Clegg Singers (TCS), Atlanta’s premiere Multi-cultural Chorus, is pleased to&nbsp;announce its Spring Concert, “Modern&nbsp;Native American Music – A Path Toward Healing.” This production will present composers of original musical works, representing several Indigenous Tribes within the United States.
TCS’ Spring Concert will be performed on Sunday, May 5, at 3 p.m., at the historic First&nbsp;Congregational Church of Atlanta. The Spring Concert&nbsp;will be FREE for the Community; but donations are&nbsp;encouraged and appreciated!
“We are both excited and honored to bring these outstanding works by Native American&nbsp;composers – our brothers and sisters in the Native American Music Community – to the&nbsp;attention of our audiences across Metro Atlanta,” said TCS founder and director Trey Clegg.
TCS’ recognition and&nbsp;engagement with Indigenous music and artists are in keeping&nbsp;with the chorus’ commitment to use music as a ‘healing force’ in overcoming the vestiges&nbsp;of discrimination, injustice and alienation between communities and peoples in America.
“The Trey Clegg Singers intend to begin making a difference. Our members want to shed light on Indigenous Peoples’ very distinctive offerings&nbsp;to this nation’s wealth of music.” 
The Trey Clegg Singers’ interest and commitment to raising awareness about Native American&nbsp;music were recognized last spring when the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) awarded&nbsp;the Chorus a $15,000 grant to&nbsp;pursue this collaborative work. TCS’s Spring Concert will, in fact,&nbsp; showcase&nbsp;some early results of the Chorus’ research into Native American music and&nbsp;its artists nationwide.
“During this first year, we were delighted to discover Dr. Kirsten C. Kunkle, a composer in the indigenous Muscogee Nation,” Mr. Clegg said.
“We commissioned her to compose an acapella choral piece that will have its world premiere at the concert.” The new work is entitled “ Mvskokvkvle, Este’ Cate,” which means “Muscogee&nbsp;People, Native People.”
TCS’ research into Native American music also led them to Amanda Johnson, a flute player of the Indigenous Cherokee Nation. She will be&nbsp;the featured instrumentalist in the concert.
The Spring Concert also will feature several of TCS’ lead professional singers, notably tenor Justin Cornelius; tenor, Joshua Troutman; and soprano Arietha Lockhart.

Regular tickets: This ticket is good for one general admission seat into the 2-hour John Edward event.
VIP tickets: 
Each VIP ticket includes a 3-month subscription to Evolve Plus (John's new app). 
Also included in the as a VIP is the opportunity to stay after the event for a conversation, question and answer session with John and the other VIPs. 
This event lasts a minimum of 20 minutes right after the regular event. In addition to that each person holding a VIP ticket gets to bypass the regular line and join a special VIP line.
