Atlanta Symphony Offers Free Tickets to Furloughed Federal Employees and Military

In an announcement released today, The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) will offer FREE tickets to all furloughed federal employees, veterans, and military families for the ASO concerts on Thursday, October 17, and Saturday, October 19, in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Two complimentary tickets will be provided to any federal employee with a government ID, veterans, and military families. Tickets must be claimed in person at the Woodruff Arts Center Box Office, located in the Woodruff Arts Center at 15th and Peachtree Streets. Box office hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

At this weekend’s concerts, guest conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya will lead the ASO in the world premiere of Philip Lasser’s newest piano concerto, The Circle and the Child, with American pianist Simone Dinnerstein. The program will also include Respighi’s Fountains of Rome and excerpts from Prokofiev’s Cinderella.
