About City of Refuge & People’s Food Truck:

City of Refuge is a nonprofit organization dedicated to community development efforts that lead to the stability and sustainability of disadvantaged neighborhoods in Northwest Atlanta. Despite overwhelming social challenges, numbers and need, City of Refuge finds hope every day in this neighborhood.

The mission of City of Refuge is to bring strength, hope and light to Atlanta’s last, lost and least. This may sound like an impossible task. But spend a day walking our streets and talking to those who call City of Refuge their home, their place of work and their place of service, and you’ll start to see that miracles can and do happen here.

The People’s Brand came about when two forces came together for a common (and delicious) good. Atlanta Chef and restauranteur, Ford Fry, wanted to get into the food truck business, but with a twist. And City of Refuge, with its 180 Kitchen and mission of good works, wanted to expand its ability to help feed and train its clients. Voila! The People’s brand was born, based on a simple idea: Bring ‘feel good food’ to Atlanta by selling great food truck eats to people who can afford it, and use those funds to help feed those who need it.

Like its name, the People’s brand is by, for and
about people.
