Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams will soon have a presence in the Westside Provisions District.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we’re proud to announce that in late summer we will open a gorgeous new scoop shop in Atlanta," a June 20 post on Jeni's blog site states.
The shop's location will be next to Star Provisions.
The post also says: "Atlanta has such deep, rich history of great food and drink, and in our humble opinion the Westside Provisions District is at the forefront of culinary cool in the South."
The soon-to-open shop was also announced on the company's Facebook page.
Some of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams flavors include Whiskey and Pecans, Cranberry Royale Sorbet, Brown Butter Almond Brittle, and Goat Cheese with Red Cherries, among others. There are also a number of frozen yogurt flavors.
"they are going to love you!!!" a commenter on Facebook wrote.
"I just want to warn you guys that if the store is open in time for Dragon*Con, be prepared for like 10,000 visitors a day, because I will be making everyone I know take a field trip there," a person commented on the blog post.
